Book Survey of Bos 88 by David Cumming

28 years after the accident of Flight 103 over Lockerbie, English insight official Lachlan Kite gets an unfavorable call. His companion Xavier Bonnard has offed himself, and the guest guarantees he's abandoned a path of hints that could uncover his actual character — the personality of BOX 88, a shadowy gathering that offers highly classified data with MI6 and the CIA. The signs keep on mounting when Kite is hijacked by a group of obstinate Iranians while going to the memorial service of his life as a youngster closest companion.

A pleasant government operative thrill ride presenting another lead character for Cumming. A clandestine association on the edges of true insight organizations, Box 88 is controlled by its minuscule staff of profoundly prepared specialists, including Scot Lachlan Kite. Selected straight out of a first class life experience school in the late spring of 1989, Lachlan cut his teeth by diving deep cover and get to know a man accepted to be answerable for the Lockerbie bombarding. He then tumbled off the radar and went into privately-run company running an upscale inn with his Swiss-American spouse and girl, while likewise helping his mum out in her clinical practice in Scotland.

However, when he's welcomed by the group of a companion to remain in France and go to a family gathering, his outing is a Bos88 front for a clandestine mission by BOX 88 to examine a risky Iranian money manager. During his imprisonment, the Iranians and MI5 are in a competition to track down him, however as Lachlan's brain races he is compelled to return to a dull past and resume injuries from way back he thought he'd shut until the end of time.

A speedy, very much created thrill ride, suggestive of John le Carre and Ken Follett. This book is a welcome expansion to the reconnaissance fiction class. Including an amiable hero and a strained plot, this is most certainly one to look at. Included picture by iFollowScottish on Twitter.
